Man Wanted In Homicide Nabbed On Taconic By Troopers

A man wanted in connection with a drug-related homicide was nabbed by New York State Troopers from Troop K on the Taconic Parkway, according to New York City police.

The unidentified man was stopped around 8:30 a.m. Monday traveling southbound on the Taconic in the East Fishkill area, said Trooper AJ Hicks. 

According to the NYPD, the man who was driving a stolen Mercedes SUV is wanted for questioning in a narcotics-related homicide that took place Jan. 16. 

During the murder 19-year-old Omaree Morrison was riddled with bullets in his neck and chest as he stepped out of a vehicle in front a South Ozone Park home in Queens, police said.

EMS transported him to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing, NYPD said.
